My name is Lorna and I specialise in Pet Photography in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney. Here you’ll find all the information you need for your photo shoot.
My pet portrait photography sessions are carried out like all other shoots.
If you’re after family photos and want to include your pet, we can certainly do that! Check out my Family Photographs for all the information you need for your family photo shoot.
My favorite outdoor location to photograph dogs is Silver Beach at Kurnell. It’s a beautiful spot during sunset plus it’s dog-friendly!
If you have a cat then I recommend we do the shoot at your home.
Or, if you’ve just added a puppy to your family or have a small dog, we can do the shoot at my studio in Engadine.
I spent four years volunteering at the RSPCA, taking photographs of the animals there for their online pet profiles, while they were awaiting adoption.
While here I gained a lot of experience working with and handling animals. There were so many dogs that didn’t understand simple commands, and I had to learn advanced techniques to manage them so I could get amazing photos of them.
I also own my own dog (Olive, a Border Collie) and two cats (Cali and Ziggy) who I photograph all the time and who have taught me so much, patience among them!
Yes! All photo shoots include the family and sibling photos.
Sometimes we forget to include ourselves in our family photos and by being in the photos, they’ll become a wonderful keepsake for your children to own and pass down to their children – family photos become our heirlooms.
Unfortunately this happens a lot and sometimes we don’t realise the importance of photographs until our loved ones are gone.
If you’re in urgent need of photographs because you don’t have much time left, call me. I’ll do my best to squeeze you in as I know how important these last few days, weeks or months are.
Allow 1 -1.5 hours. This will give us time for your pet to settle and get used me as well as giving us time for any other photos you’d like to take.
